Platform Sovereignty

Most contemporary digital publishing platforms optimize for ad revenue, creator tithe, and attentional energy harvesting. They’re designed to keep you locked in the scroll, producing data and ad clicks for our technofeudal overlords. Intellectual property is reproduced, modified, sub-licensed, scraped and sold to third-party data mines.

One of the most impactful tools of sovereignty is land. Land ownership and land reform have shaped who can live, create, gather, and imagine futures on their own terms. Today, platforms function as digital real estate, and we as tenants.

Technofeudal landlords collect rents in the form of user data, creative labor, and ad revenue. Algorithms act as enforcers, implicitly pushing classist, casteist, ableist, colorist lenses to the tops of minds and feeds.

We know ads fragment attention. Even when ignored, they create micro-ruptures, mental chatter, subconscious vigilance, and low-grade anxiety. Over time, this constant interruption trains us out of our presence and originality. The Library allows the spirit to settle into a page, and let a thought unfold without jolts.

The worlds of mythology & folklore, futurism, sacred architecture, and spiritual ecology are about meaning-making. And meaning usually arrives after the rain, when the soul has space to breathe.
